Meet the team
Promising young keeper new to the club this season. Training intensively with Ross Casey and goalkeeper coach Nick Jones, and quickly learning the tricks of the trade. Showed great promise at Holt United and was offered a place at Bashley by former Holt coach Jack Williamson.
Although born in England, Josh - who was signed during 2023/24 from Winchester City - has played 16 times for the British Virgin Islands in international football. He made his debut for Andover Town in 2018, and in the 2020/21 season scored 31 goals in 26 matches for them, earning him a move to Southern League Premier side Dorchester Town. His progress there was hampered by injury and he eventually moved on to another Southern Premier side, Winchester City. He was loaned out briefly to Bemert
21-year-old defender, specialist position right-back. Has previous experience in the Wessex League with Christchurch before moving on to Holt United, where he worked with Bashley’s new coach, Jack Williamson.
Promising 17-year-old left-back who came through the highly-rated junior ranks at Holt United before signing for Bashley in summer 2024.
Experienced attacking midfielder and dead-ball expert who topped the Bashley scoring charts in 2021/22, helping lift them to promotion from the Wessex Premier. Went out on joint registration at AFC Stoneham, and also with neighbouring Brockenhurst, for a time last season, but returned to Bashley in peak form towards the end of the season and has re-signed again.
Luke is an experienced winger with bags of quality, who joins us from Southern Premier League side Poole Town. In the prime of his playing career Luke decided to join the Bash and be a part of our ambitious plans.
Experienced midfielder who has played at a consistently senior level since starting out at Eastleigh. Has also had spells with Blackfield & Langley, AFC Totton, Lymington and Dorchester. Joined Bashley in summer 2024, with manager Dave Lewis saying: “He has a great passing range, yet very competitive, and tenacious without the ball.”
Bournemouth-born but honed his football skills as an attacking midfield player on the “Soccer” fields of the USA. Studying at Quincy University, in Illinois - between Chicago and Kansas City - he was a key member of the Quincy squad before returning home and signing for Bashley in summer of 2024.
Came through the youth system at AFC Bournemouth, where he starred in the Cherries U18 team before moving on to Wimborne in October 2020. Joined Blackfield & Langley a year later but caught the eye of Dorchester Town and spent 18 months there, making 53 first team appearances before joining ex-Bashley manager Matt Tubbs at Poole Town. Harvey is the brother of ex-Southampton and England star Ryan Bertrand - but is determined to make his own name as a star in non-League football.
Returned to the club in Summer 2023, having previously signed for Bashley when he was 18. He went on to score 35 goals in 86 Wessex League games before joining Sholing. Before that Conor was an Academy player with both Southampton and AFC Bournemouth, and after being released by The Cherries aged 15, he joined the Eastleigh Development Scheme on a scholarship. Latterly with Totton, he was on loan with Bashley last season but has now signed.
An 18-year-old striker originally signed last season on a brief loan from League Two Colchester United and reckoned to have a bright future in the game. Signed for Bashley again in summer 2024. He scored regularly last season in the U’s Under-18 and Under-21 teams at Colchester, and also starred in their run in the FA Youth Cup. Has a simple philosophy, saying: “I just love scoring goals!”
Former AFC Bournemouth trainee who was a huge fan favourite at Holt United where he scored some spectacular goals last season. Had the nickname “Zlatan” at Holt because his style resembled that of Zlatan Ibrahimovic! When Holt coach Jack Williamson moved on to Bashley in Summer 2024 he quickly recruited Bungay, who has already impressed Bashley fans with his rapid footwork and eye for a goal.
