Popular and very capable goalkeeper - the club’s Player of the Year in 2022/23 season. Fan-favourite with Bashley fans - and also with some opposition ones who tease him about his distinctive hairstyle! Good vocal organiser of the defence in front of him. Started his career with AFC Totton then moved on to Horndean and joined Bashley mid-way through 2021/22 season from neighbours Lymington Town.
A young talent goalkeeper currently on loan from AFC Bournemouth where he has been involved in their youth pathway since the age of seven. In those days the was an outfield player, but stood in as an emergency keeper in a game against a Bournemouth age-group team and did so well he was signed. He has been loaned out twice previously, first to AFC Totton and later to Hythe & Dibden, where he spent most of last season. He is the grandson of the late, great Alan Ball & cousin of James & John McAtee
Promising young keeper new to the club this season. Training intensively with Ross Casey and goalkeeper coach Nick Jones, and quickly learning the tricks of the trade. Showed great promise at Holt United and was offered a place at Bashley by former Holt coach Jack Williamson.
Came through the junior ranks at Bashley and also had a spell at nearby Verwood in his early days, now a club stalwart. Was originally a striker, but moved back to midfield and has since been converted to defence. He now looks a very accomplished and capable right-back, speedy, reads the game well, and ever-reliable.
Vastly-experienced, ball-playing central defender who came through the Southampton Academy and started out at AFC Totton in 2013/14 as a teenager. Joined Bashley in summer 2024, from Totton, having rejoined the Stags for a second spell. In between he had two stints with Winchester City as well as being a leading light in the progress of Gosport Borough and Sholing.
Giant of a centre-half who has added a dimension Bashley have missed in recent seasons. Comes from a family of very successful footballers in the local area - a big character both on and off of the pitch. Signed summer 2024 from Bemerton Heath Harlequins, having also played for Dorchester, Weymouth, Salisbury, Portland and Lymington - where he played under current Bashley manager Dave Lewis.
A young, but much-travelled New Zealander who started last season at Weymouth, moved on to Sholing and is now with Bashley. Played junior football in his native country before moving to Germany in the Under-19 League with Freiburg. Returned to NZ to play for First Division Western Suburbs before moving back to Europe with the Swiss senior side Grasshoppers. Back in New Zealand he had further spells with Christchurch United and FC2011 before coming to England in July 2023.
Although born in England, Josh - who was signed during 2023/24 from Winchester City - has played 16 times for the British Virgin Islands in international football. He made his debut for Andover Town in 2018, and in the 2020/21 season scored 31 goals in 26 matches for them, earning him a move to Southern League Premier side Dorchester Town. His progress there was hampered by injury and he eventually moved on to another Southern Premier side, Winchester City. He was loaned out briefly to Bemert
Now in his third spell with Bashley. He began his career in the development squad and was a prominent figure in the Under-19's Alliance squad of 2019. Returned to Bashley in summer of 2023 after several years of studying and playing good standard “Soccer” in the USA. Showed plenty of promise but was unable to hold down a regular starting place, and moved to Brockenhurst. A commanding regular at Gigg Lane, he was re-signed by the Bash during summer 2024.
21-year-old defender, specialist position right-back. Has previous experience in the Wessex League with Christchurch before moving on to Holt United, where he worked with Bashley’s new coach, Jack Williamson.
Promising 17-year-old left-back who came through the highly-rated junior ranks at Holt United before signing for Bashley in summer 2024.
a top young talent with high potential, already making waves at just 18 years old. Having played over 50 games in the Wessex Premier League, Sam brings a wealth of experience for his age. His maturity on the pitch is evident, showcasing a rare combination of composure, intelligence, and physical presence. Sam's style of play strikes a perfect balance between the classic defensive fundamentals and modern, ball-playing sensibilities.
One of Bashley’s most experienced players, a solid box-to-box midfielder who spent 10 years at Walsall FC going through the age groups. He left at 18 and signed for Nuneaton Borough in the Conference North, and has since played for Rugby, AFC Hinckley and Lichfield before moving south to join Poole Town. Also had brief spells with Shaftesbury and Hungerford Town before joining Bashley in May 2023.
Experienced attacking midfielder and dead-ball expert who topped the Bashley scoring charts in 2021/22, helping lift them to promotion from the Wessex Premier. Went out on joint registration at AFC Stoneham, and also with neighbouring Brockenhurst, for a time last season, but returned to Bashley in peak form towards the end of the season and has re-signed again.
An England Under-18s star who is currently Bashley’s youngest first team player. At 17, he went speedily through the junior ranks at Salisbury, and is rated an exciting prospect for the future, having already made a first team appearance there. He also had a brief spell with Wimborne and made his debut for Bashley off the bench in the February 17th match against Paulton Rovers. He announced his arrival in the starting line-up with a stunning goal in the 4-2 win at Bemerton on Easter Monday. Has
Luke is an experienced winger with bags of quality, who joins us from Southern Premier League side Poole Town. In the prime of his playing career Luke decided to join the Bash and be a part of our ambitious plans.
Experienced midfielder who has played at a consistently senior level since starting out at Eastleigh. Has also had spells with Blackfield & Langley, AFC Totton, Lymington and Dorchester. Joined Bashley in summer 2024, with manager Dave Lewis saying: “He has a great passing range, yet very competitive, and tenacious without the ball.”
Valuable addition to the Bashley midfield, signed in summer 2024. Came through the youth system at AFC Totton before gaining valuable experience with Hamble Club. Moved to Sholing in 2021//22 and quickly became a regular in a successful team. The following season his appearances were cut short by injury, but he returned fully fit and was a regular in the past two seasons, making a total of 74 appearances, before linking up with Bashley.
Centre-midfielder who spent last season captaining an Eastleigh FC Academy side in the U18 Hampshire Combination League, finishing the season with Totton & Eling in Wessex One under now-Bashley Manager Dave Lewis. Liam was previously part of a successful Millbrook youth side who won leagues and cups over several seasons and were national cup finalists. He starts a scholarship with Eastleigh FC Academy in September.
Bournemouth-born but honed his football skills as an attacking midfield player on the “Soccer” fields of the USA. Studying at Quincy University, in Illinois - between Chicago and Kansas City - he was a key member of the Quincy squad before returning home and signing for Bashley in summer of 2024.
Came through the youth system at AFC Bournemouth, where he starred in the Cherries U18 team before moving on to Wimborne in October 2020. Joined Blackfield & Langley a year later but caught the eye of Dorchester Town and spent 18 months there, making 53 first team appearances before joining ex-Bashley manager Matt Tubbs at Poole Town. Harvey is the brother of ex-Southampton and England star Ryan Bertrand - but is determined to make his own name as a star in non-League football.
Exciting young prospect playing wide either side of the pitch, or No10. Started with Sholing & AFC Totton U18’s, then played pivotal role at Totton & Eling in Wessex 1 last season. Currently at Eastleigh Academy doing scholarship.
A player Jack has known for many years and has long been highly sought after by top teams. Renowned for his blistering pace on the wing, Addwell is a constant threat to opposing defenses with his ability to burst past defenders and create scoring opportunities. His sharp eye for goal and knack for being in the right place at the right time make him a potent offensive weapon. In addition to his speed and scoring ability, Addwell brings versatility, tactical awareness, and experience to the squad.
Poole-born 20-year-old central midfield player who came through the juniors at Eastleigh, joining Bashley at the end of August 2024. Harley’s father, Brian, was a Welsh international, who was well-known as a Football League player with AFC Bournemouth, Preston, Doncaster and Burnley, and a former manager of Weymouth FC.
Vastly experienced front man who was on the books at Reading, and played EFL football for Rotherham, Northampton and Aldershot, in addition to several teams in the upper echelons of non-league. Played in a National League Play-Off Final for Forest Green Rovers in 2016 and won promotion to the National League with Weymouth in 2019/20. Joined Bashley summer 2023, but ended last season with a brief spell at Portchester. Now returned to Bashley as player/assistant manager.
Returned to the club in Summer 2023, having previously signed for Bashley when he was 18. He went on to score 35 goals in 86 Wessex League games before joining Sholing. Before that Conor was an Academy player with both Southampton and AFC Bournemouth, and after being released by The Cherries aged 15, he joined the Eastleigh Development Scheme on a scholarship. Latterly with Totton, he was on loan with Bashley last season but has now signed.
An 18-year-old striker originally signed last season on a brief loan from League Two Colchester United and reckoned to have a bright future in the game. Signed for Bashley again in summer 2024. He scored regularly last season in the U’s Under-18 and Under-21 teams at Colchester, and also starred in their run in the FA Youth Cup. Has a simple philosophy, saying: “I just love scoring goals!”
Former AFC Bournemouth trainee who was a huge fan favourite at Holt United where he scored some spectacular goals last season. Had the nickname “Zlatan” at Holt because his style resembled that of Zlatan Ibrahimovic! When Holt coach Jack Williamson moved on to Bashley in Summer 2024 he quickly recruited Bungay, who has already impressed Bashley fans with his rapid footwork and eye for a goal.
